Once the student has a grasp of their instrment and the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire and tecnique exercises. He has performed with the ISO Symphonic Band and ISO Symphonic Symphony at notable venues, such as Carnegie Hall and Symphony Space. Anthony has also performed as the lead alto in Xaverian High School’s Senior Jazz Band for the Cherry Blossom Festival in Kyoto, Japan. In 2008, Anthony furthered his musical proficiency by enrolling as a participant in the prominent French Woods Camp in New York. I'm a well rounded teacher with experience in a wide range of musical styles. As a certified public schools music teacher I regularly work with students as young as pre-k all the way up to adults. I specialize in the saxophone which I have been playing for over 20 years. My studio is a single family home in the west town neighborhood of Chicago. For all of my students, our first lessons will be focused on either setting a foundation for beginning musicians or finding what the student wants to work on to become a better musician. In my opinion, the most important foundational aspect of being a musician is developing a passion for music. No matter what level my student is at, we will work on having an appreciation for music. This will include focused listening of music in our lessons and I will show my students the importance of this so hopefully they start doing it on their own. Read More
