Hi y'all! I'm a saxophonist, clarinetist, and composer in the East Atlanta metro area. I love teaching and have maintained a private studio since 2018. My loves for performance and composition led me to get two Bachelors degrees in Saxophone Performance and Composition from the University of Georgia in 2023. I really enjoy large ensemble and chamber music, and I have lots of experience playing in chamber groups, musical theater pit orchestras, jazz and hip hop bands, and many other types of music. I first start with an assements of where the students skills are and their mindset. I try to findout what they want to due and what they like to due. Sometimes students dont truly know. I exhibit patience with the student knowing what it takes to develop new skills and I work hard in helping each student feel at ease in expressing themselves. My teaching experience began in high school where, as a junior, I began teaching middle school saxophone players. As I went through high school I began to realize that I had a knack for teaching young players one-on-one as opposed to a large classroom, this is what inspired me to study music performance as opposed to music education. When I moved to Kennesaw to change majors from Classical to Jazz Saxophone Performance, I realized how fortunate I was to now know how to teach both classical and jazz genres of my instrument.
