In 2016, I graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Trombone Performance. I then went on to pursue my Master's at Carnegie Mellon University School of Music and graduated in 2018. I am using my experience with Musika to hone my skills as an educator. I have participated in clinics in Japan and Korea, where I developed skills in individual and group instruction. I have worked with sectionals in the army in addition to directing rehearsals. I started teaching private lessons in college and continued doing so after graduation. I like teaching private lessons because students learn valuable skills and techniques that will help in every aspect of a student's life. Students learn time management, dedication, and work ethic through taking private lessons and I love watching students grow throughout the process. As a music teacher, I have ample experience with students in grades 4-12. I have also prepared students for music school auditions, honors band festivals, and other festivals such as the Macy's Day Parade Great American Marching Band. Read More

From 2017 until 2021, I was the Brass Specialist at the British International School of Kuala Lumpur, where I taught group brass lessons, private lessons, directed ensembles, and accompanied students on international music festival tours. The last two years of my teaching there were plagued by pandemic, so I gained a multitude of experience with online teaching as we were in and out of school at various points. Prior to my position at BSKL, I was the Trombone Teaching Assistant at the University of Northern Colorado, and I taught after school low brass lessons at the University School in Shaker Heights during my undergraduate.
