I am a Bass Trombonist and Tuba player from South Orange, NJ. I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a BM in Music Performance in 2016, and then from the Aaron Copland School of Music with an MM in Performance. For beginning students, I focus on the very first fundamentals of playing trombone and music which consists of simple music theory and fundamental technique of playing the trombone. Once those fundamentals are introduced and the students shows progression, I will assign etudes and solo repertoire to help improve on musicality and technique. I am a very dedicated and caring music teacher with 23 years of experience. I have taught students of all ages from early elementary school to senior citizens. All of my NYSSMA participating students have received scores of excellent or outstanding in Grades 1-4, and in the 90's on Levels 5 and 6.
