I like to tailor my approach to each student and the things they find inspiring about brass instruments. I will set goals and motivate my students in a way that works for their learning style. Lessons will always be engaging, challenging and fun. All students will begin with a foundation in the essential trumpet method books including the Arban, Clarke, Schlossberg and Chichowicz. For beginning students, I focus on the very first fundamentals of playing trombone and music which consists of simple music theory and fundamental technique of playing the trombone. Once those fundamentals are introduced and the students shows progression, I will assign etudes and solo repertoire to help improve on musicality and technique. I tend to perform for students in lessons so they can receive a better idea of how to play a specific passage as well as just playing fun pieces to get them excited in lessons. Read More

Therefore, it is critical that I tailor each lesson to fit a student's needs so that they may progress at their own pace. I accomplish this by setting realistic goals for my students. I am a passionate performer, student, and teacher who loves to play the trombone and sharing my musical discoveries with all those I come across. I graduated with my Master of Music degree in Trombone Performance from Boston University in 2018. I have had the opportunity to perform all over the United States through my involvement with DCI and as a freelance musician.
