I'm receiving my Master Degree in trumpet performance at Brigham Young University. I received my undergraduate degree in music education from Stephen F. Austin State University. I'm well versed in many different styles of music including jazz, rock, and classical. Teaching trumpet is my favorite passion and I take extreme pride in watching my students grow through lessons. Encouraging a love of the instrument (and music in general) in younger students is something I'm very passionate about, but I'm always willing to help older students find that love as well. My first lesson teacher engrained in me the importance of sharing knowledge with colleagues and the younger generations. This success inspired me to start my own trumpet studio. After I graduated high shool, I attended Las Positas Community College to further pursue my education in the musical realm. I quickly adapted to the new environment where, once again, I was a featured soloist in the band and choir programs.
