Practice doesn't make perfect; PERFECT practice makes perfect! The best way to develop a skill is to work consistently and carefully, which is why I encourage all of my students not just to practice until they get it right, but to practice until they can't get it wrong. I am not a fan of "rote learning" so my lessons tend to include a large amount of cognitive thinking by me constantly asking questions and making you pay attention to your own playing habits. This success inspired me to start my own trumpet studio. After I graduated high shool, I attended Las Positas Community College to further pursue my education in the musical realm. I quickly adapted to the new environment where, once again, I was a featured soloist in the band and choir programs.
