Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire on sheet music appropriate for their level of performance. It is important to stress the fundamentals of technique for my beginner students before just playing music. In addition to performing with the Discovery Middle School and Timber Creek High School orchestras, I participated every year in the all-county and all-state orchestras and served as associate concertmaster of the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra. I completed a double major in general music and engineering at Northwestern University in Chicago.
