I have been studying music since I was very young--piano, violin, F horn, trumpet, baritone, but my true love is the viola. I am currently completing my bachelor degree for Violin Performance at Rice University's Shepherd School of Music. I absolutely love chamber music and I have had the honor of competing and placing in the prestigious Fischoff Chamber Music Competition in 2019. I have been teaching since High School, but it wasn't until my first year of college that I started teaching music. After 6+ years of teaching in my home studios in both Austin and San Antonio, I enjoy a variety of students learning violin, viola, cello, piano, guitar, and even certain music software. My greatest lesson in teaching is that no two students are alike; one student may be more traditional and focused and have no problem learning to read music, for example, while another student may have little to no attention span, making it impossible to learn consistently. I believe that keeping my students motivated is a strong factor to achieve things faster. Usually students come to me because they have a true love to music and an especific instrument. I enjoy doing group lessons but I do preffer one by one lessons. There is a better chance to motice each studen's needs and lacks so that I know what kind of information they need to improve it.
