I'e been playing since I've been a young child and have never been able to see myself do anything else. I am currently playing with the Dearborn Symphony Orchestra as well as the Michigan Philharmonic Symphony. I aspire to play with the Michigan Opera Theater soon and become a studio musician. I take the great things about the Suzuki Method and use them (fun, creativity, by-ear learning, group jams). Then I take the things I don't like about the method and disregard them (pre-established repetoire, no composition or improv). I teach kids how to concentrate, how to teach themselves, how to ignore distractions, and the philosophy for joyful performance without nervousness. I recently relocated to Ypsilanti, Michigan from Austin, Texas to pursue a Master of Music degree in violin performance at Eastern Michigan University. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in violin performance from Huston-Tillotson University and majored in music education at Texas State University. I'm also a native of Midland, Texas.
