I teach repertoire from the Suzuki Violin School and Barbara Barber's Solos for Young Violinists, I also like to incorporate other styles if the student is interested, such as fiddle and bluegrass, and even pop and Disney songs. For beginners, especially children of 3, 4 and 5 years old, we do everything through play, rhythm, drawing, listening to music and correct placement of both hands on the violin and bow through various exercises. After age of 6, they are start introduce to music theory, notes, the basics of rhythm in my various ways.
