I graduated from UNC-SA through both their highschool and collegiate programs. After earning my violin performance degree I continued to travel around the United States and Japan, teaching violin everywhere i went. Music is my biggest passion and something I love sharing with my students. I first began taking music lessons at the age of nine and quickly took to piano. A few years later I also began studying the violin. At a young age I fell in love with music and its ability to express emotion and connect people. This is what I hope to pass on to my students. Numerous violin teachers make one of two mistakes. Many give their students too little information, leaving the student to figure out the finer technical details on their own, while others feed the student too much information without breaking it down for them. In both cases the student progresses at a slower pace and is likely to become frustrated. My approach is much more step-by-step oriented, allowing the student to fully grasp a concept over the course of one lesson as opposed to several lessons, which results in significantly greater progress over time.
