My job is to assess the students abilities and lead them down the appropriate paths to achieving their musical goals. I started teaching in high school, and I've been teaching consistently for the past 5 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. If a student isn't having fun in their lessons, then I'm not doing my job! My students are encouraged to enter competitions and recitals, as well as work on composing their own original material, so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn. I place a large importance on spreading music education, as this world desperately needs more passionate artists. I began teaching privately in 2014 when my 65 year old neighbor asked me to help him rekindle the flame in violin playing. Since then, I have greatly expanded my studio and taught private students of ages ranging from 3-65 of all levels.
