For my older students, I encourage them by setting realistic goals and acknowledging their accomplishments, no matter how small. Read More

Over the next fifteen years, my teaching continued in these two settings: studio teaching, as well as private lessons given in my home or the home of my students. Read More

Ive had all different kinds of teachers - ones that have touched my heart through music and our relationship, others that have made music a dread, and some a little crazy. But from each teacher I have learned what to be and not to be for my students. Though important, violin is not always the center of someones life. I understand if a goal isnt met or something comes up, and readjusting so progress can happen. Read More

Because music is an integral part of the performance arts. I believe that to keep a student focused, they must be constantly motivated to have a desire to play and develop. Participation in events, concerts and competitions is a great motivation for the professional growth of students. I try to build a diverse program in order to develop the student both technically and artistically, so that the performed pieces are interesting and bring joy. Read More
