I'm a professional music instructor, who's able to be creative, capable to interpret music with feeling, love to work with students, very patient, and knowledgeable. I'm an expert in violin and piano performance and instruction. I create a unique and comprehensive Lesson plans for each student. I teach beginner to advance levels for very young or adult students by conducting both in person or online lessons. Creating a non-judgemental atmosphere, where students are free to experiment, make mistakes, and try again, is crucial for learning an instrument such as the violin. With this instrument, repeptition is key to learning. I also strive to set very clear, manageble goals, so students feel a sense of accomplishment at each stage. This sense of accomplishment is motivating to the student as well as the teacher! One curriculum will be using the Suzuki method, where Classical music and technique will be at the core of what we do. The second curriculum will be be centered on more contemporary music; Jazz, Pop, etc. In this curriculum, we will study and learn the different keys and chords, improvisation, etc. In both paths, my students will have the opportunity to perform on an annual basis in front of other students and parents. The methods use for young children are the series of Sassmannshaus books. Piatti for adults. All for strings and essential elements books for violin and viola., among other methods books. I also use innovative methods to teach all instruments. I encourage my students to select their own repertoire. It is also encourage to perform at least 3 times a year in recitals. I have experience teaching in many facets. I began working with kids as a full-time nanny and then went into teaching in a Kindergarten classroom, and proceeded to teaching music for all ages. I am very intuitive and experienced with seeing where a student is at, meeting their needs as a teacher and student individually first, and then growing them into a musician from there.
