Everybody has strengths and weaknesses, and it's important to acknowledge the student's strengths as often as possible! The weaknesses are just what we're there to work on. I taught private guitar lessons continuously, while in highschool and college. In between engagements in my performing career, I would always return to teaching. In 1992 I was certified by Dr. L Scott Martin, Phd from Juilliard, to teach vocal performance at his Academy of the Arts in Denver, and I have continued to the present, to coach young singers to express themselves with music.
