My main areas of expertise are in voice, songwriting and composition, improvisation, contemporary piano and synthesizer performance, recording your own music, and ear training and theory. I love to teach because I have to teach. My philosophy is if you believe you are born with a special gift, you are obligated to give and teach the ways of this gift to people who strive to understand it. In other words, music is my passion and the one thing I've been able to do my entire life, and creating it gives me tremendous joy. Read More

In our musical adventure, each lesson is a unique blend of joy and learning. We kick things off by finding your musical goals and sharing a few laughs through icebreakers. From there, we dive into the basics of breathing, posture, and discovering the power of your voice. As we progress, we'll explore emotional expression in singing, work on clear pronunciation, and even dip our toes into the world of piano, making sure it's all super fun and tailored just for you. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE My teaching experience started in 2007 with teaching young kids from our youth meeting in church. Now I am teaching in my home studio in Belleville, NJ since 2016. With more than 10 years experience, I love working with new students of all ages. I use a curriculum developed by Mrs, Irina Gorin which specialize in kids from 4-6 years. Her method is based on involving both the students and the parents in the piano learning experience. Read More

For young students, I would usually start them off using Bastien Piano Basics. It's very digestible, and gives a good starting-off point for both technical playing, and larger musical concepts as a whole. With a student who is older or perhaps more advanced, who has a solid grasp on technical proficiency and music theory, I would typically recommend studying specific pieces, starting with Classical, and eventually moving into Jazz. I feel that following a chronological study of music is one of the best ways to become a well-rounded, versatile player who feels comfortable approaching any material. Read More

I want to get a sense of why my student is interested in singing. Do they want to sing in a choir? Be the next pop star? Once I have an idea of what their goals are we start working with their voice and figuring out what styles work best for them. We always start off with warm-ups. They're a very important part of the singing process. They can also help students when they are on their own. Read More

I began study w several classical teachers but my manager at the time insisted on the legendary Don Lawrence. I studied w Don but was inclined back to more classical bellcanto study. Finally, I met William Riley( Celine Dion, Whitney Houston), and began an 11 year study w him. I learned the connection between technique and application w all genre’ and am eternally great full to him for his mentorship. Uh- oh. Read More

I am a native of Flower Mound, Texas, and I was first introduced to the joy of singing in my church’s children’s chorus at the age of five. I belonged to that chorus until I graduated from Marcus High School in 2013. In addition, I was a member of my school choruses beginning in fifth grade. I was very fortunate to perform at the 2013 ACDA Convention as a member of Marcus High School’s Varsity Treble Choir. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
