My teaching experience dates back to my Poland days, as I began teaching private lessons as a student of Music Academy of Wroclaw. I write all my own lesson materials focusing on what the student needs to know to play, understand, and enjoy music to achieve their goals. I have used several method books in the past but find them all limited or focused on styles or technique that is not what the student wants or needs to learn. I can teach from any established method if that is preferred, but instead enjoy challenging the student to understand what music is and how music is played on their chosen instrument, not just to read. I find that consistency helps encourage the student, giving them confidence that they can be successful. For my voice students, I usually start them with proper breathing techniques. Read More

I studied dance at the age of 6. My mom bought a piano for herself to learn to play. I would go to the piano and try to make up songs that I could dance to, which then lead me to take piano lessons for 15 years. Committment, joy, and passion are the keys to learning and growing as a music student. I enjoy teaching all styles, as well having students learn to arrange and express their own style within the piece they are learning. Read More
