I've performed since I was eleven when I first decided to try music as a hobby, and in high school I realized that music wasn't just a hobby. It was a passion! My lessons typically start with stretching and breathing exercises and then transition to vocal exercises. The vocal exercises serve to strengthen their technique and solidify skills needed to tackle their song. I always ask my students what kind of music they are interested in and find songs to work on that will help strengthen their voice, but also connect with their soul. I started teaching in college when my current voice coach suggested it. The best way to learn material is to teach it, because in order to teach it you must know it inside and out.
