I started teaching music lessons in after school programs when I was ten and fell totally in love. I continued to do this for many years driving to neighboring towns, volunteering at church youth groups and local Boys and Girls Club all around my hometown. In Portland I've been volunteering every week at Nonprofit Music Schools around town to help underprivileged kids, and expose them to the joy of music, as well as teaching at School of Rock. I began my teaching career about 7 years ago, during my senior year of high school. I have taught lessons for both piano and guitar consistently since that time, including my time as the Piano Instructor at Cadenza Academy in Portland, OR. I like to let the students navigate the material they learn, as I feel that they should have complete control of what they are focusing their money and time on. Read More

My joy is to see progress and growth in my students. I also enjoy seeing their love of music develop. I take each student where they are: beginner or advanced, and put goals in place for them. Such goals can be things like learning music for solo and ensemble band / orchestra competitions, performing in their Church, or putting together a jazz band or classical ensemble for concerts. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music. Read More

Having fun is paramount! I have a great personality, and teach in a loosely structured environment so the student feels comfortable. No matter the age or skill level, the student will find that their enthusiasm and effort will dictate their progress. I will kindly share knowledge and help give them the tools needed to succeed. Each student is different, and has different needs, and I have always been able to instinctively give what is needed for each individual lesson. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice Synthesizer Keyboard
I started learning piano as a child, but it was in high school that I realized I really wanted to pursue playing keyboards, because it allowed me a way to express myself. I later attended Mt. Hood Community College, famous for its jazz program, where I played keyboards and sang in select choirs and vocal jazz groups. After graduating, I directed the college Gospel Ensemble for two years before working full-time at a large local church, where I was Music Director, a worship leader, and keyboardist. Read More

Hello, I am Asia. I offer vocal lessons to beginners as well as those who are already proficient in the art, and I am also a local performer. I reside in Portland, Oregon, and my entire existence has been driven by singing and choir. I have had the privilege of studying with outstanding professors. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance at Warner Pacific University in 2021. It has been gratifying to perform throughout the city and make new acquaintances. Read More
