I write songs constantly and have performed hundreds of times as both a solo artist and with bands that I have formed. My passion for music comes from childhood, learning the first chords on the guitar with my father. From then on, I began to study classical guitar in conjunction with a repertoire of Brazilian and Latin music. Later I deepened my studies on the 7-string nylon guitar and also on the semi-acoustic guitar, especially in the language of jazz and blues. As an undergraduate, I was tapped to teach for my university's preparatory music department. After graduation, I started teaching privately, and I've never looked back. I have been told that I am a very energetic and encouraging teacher - I want my students to succeed and to be happy in their singing! I defintely will not stay seated behind the piano for the entire lesson. I like to get up and get involved! I won't ask students to try anything that I won't demonstrate myself first, which I have found usually puts them at ease (this is especially true with children and teens.) I have been a voice student myself for many years, so I know how it feels to be in their shoes, and I try to be as constructive and encouraging as possible while helping them discover their voice.
