For voice students, I have my own curriculum to help them know how to use their voice in a good way. For piano beginning students I typically start with Piano Adventures method. For Flute students, I start with Rubank Elementary method. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire. I have song lists that have songs in different styles and levels for the student to choose from, and I also encourage students bringing songs they like to keep the lessons engaging and fun. Read More

I grew up being forced into piano lessons at the ripe age of five. My mother insisted and I rejected it. However, I had no choice in the matter. She wanted me to play the piano. So I learned. Once I started middle school, I joined the choir because I noticed that they were going on a lot of field trips. Little did I know that I would actually fall in love with singing. Read More

For children, it is important to know the fundamental (produce sound, pitch, breathing, etc) and it has to be FUN! I start off with the book Singing Lessons for Little Singers and when start introducing songs as the student progress. For adults, it's best to know what each students want and need and I'll walk them according to their needs. Techniques and repertoire comes hand in hand and I like to have a balance of both.I want to create an environment where the students will be learning what they want to learn balanced out with what they need to learn. I am a native of Flower Mound, Texas, and I was first introduced to the joy of singing in my church’s children’s chorus at the age of five. I belonged to that chorus until I graduated from Marcus High School in 2013. In addition, I was a member of my school choruses beginning in fifth grade. I was very fortunate to perform at the 2013 ACDA Convention as a member of Marcus High School’s Varsity Treble Choir. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More
