My love for teaching has grown over the years out of the success I see my students achieve. Being able to guide a student towards vocal growth is the most rewarding part of what I do. I love seeing the "lightbulb" go off for them. I have taken voice lessons for 14 years, and know how it feels to be frustrated vocally but also thriving vocally. I consider myself mainly a jazz/cabaret singer, but I sing in many styles and genres. I also write my own music. I am working on my third album. I am very proud to say that my music has been played on radio stations throughout the U.S., Canada, South Africa, Australia, and Russia, and worldwide through the Siriusly Sinatra channel on SiriusXM radio. For beginning students who are children, I greatly emphasize vocal exercises to help strengthen their voice. Once the student has a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce repertoire based on the genre of music they prefer, as well as basic songs that would benefit them to learn. I am a native of Flower Mound, Texas, and I was first introduced to the joy of singing in my church’s children’s chorus at the age of five. I belonged to that chorus until I graduated from Marcus High School in 2013. In addition, I was a member of my school choruses beginning in fifth grade. I was drawn to education and instruction from a young age, and began helping younger musicians through a local mentoring program, then volunteered as a student tutor and teacher's aide in musical and english programs.
