Music is my passion and I love sharing that with others! I am a recent graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor's of Music in Vocal Music Education with a minor in musical theatre. I've had a wide array of experiences in both the education and the performing world. Positive reinforcement is the most important tool any teacher can have in their arsonal, and I try to praise my students every time I notice imporvements and support and assure them when confronted with difficulties. My professional career began when I entered into the United States Marine Corps as a flautist. I was stationed at Cherry Point and Camp LeJeune Marine Corps Bands. The material I teach covers scales, chords, and music theory. We can practice a variety of exercises that help improve your rhythm and dexterity. In order to tie everything together, I think it is important to play music with each other and along with recorded music as an example.
