For piano I prefer Faber Piano Adventures and have different books I would recommend starting with depending on the students age and experience. For guitar and ukulele I prefer using the Hal Leonard method books. I often supplement these method books with outside sources and pieces as is appropriate for the student. For singing students, I have a wide variety of books and resources depending on the musical style. I taught privately for the past 25 years, teaching those grade levels and then began teaching senior citizens almost 10 years ago. I believe progress looks different for everyone, and I am very patient and happy to go over something more than once.
