For all ages I like to begin with a skills test. Where they show me where they currently stand with their instrument. From there I refer to books by Trevor Wye to give students a strong fundamental basis in tone, technique, articulation, intonation/vibrato, and breathing/scales. I have been teaching students privately for three years. I took on my first student during my junior year of college, and during those lessons I discovered my love of teaching. I was trained in Vocal Pedagogy by Jean Del Santo, a renowned pedagogue and professor at the University of Minnesota.
