Music making and teaching has been my passion since I was young. In 2020, I graduated from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Music in Choral Music Education. As a child, I participated in choir for 8 years and was in the University of Michigan's University Choir and Orpheus Singers. I began taking private voice lessons at a late age (17 years old) and became a professional musician, so I know that it is possible to be successful even when starting later in life! Read More

I keep it light and simple. In lessons, I am a listener as well as a teacher. I use the students own words to work through music. I encourage students to focus on what things feel like, and describe them, so that we can focus on what is working well! Her awards include; 2nd Place in the Graduate Division of the Conrad Art Song Competition, the Shirley Verett Young Artist Honorable Mention from the Harold Haugh Light Opera Vocal Competition, and was Second Place in the Junior Division at the NATS Regional Competition. She has performed notable roles such as; Amanda in The Carp, Kitty in The Golden Girl, Lady Psyche in Princess Ida, Shirley Kaplan in Street Scene, Tessa in The Gondoliers, Cecily in La Divina, Adele in Die Fledermaus, 2nd Woman in Dido and Aeneas, and more. I'm a passionate soprano currently studying at The College of Musical Arts at Bowling Green State University. I graduated with my bachelors degree from Aurora University in May of 2015, and I just completed the first year of my masters degree. I am actively performing in the university's Opera Theatre productions and also was a member of The University Choral Society this past year. Anyone can learn to sing through persistence, hard work, and healthy practice. Singing helps improve lung capacity, diaphragm muscles, immune system strength, and relieves stress. Reading and performing music also exercises the same areas of the brain that handle math, language, and critical thinking. For my younger students, I focus on breathing, proper posture, and the fundamentals of music.
