I'm an enthusiastic and patient teacher who focuses on the student's need. No two lessons are ever the same. In our first lesson we will talk about where you are at and see where you want to get with your instrument. No matter what level you are on, or how serious you want to take it, we can craft a lesson plan that is perfect for you. I like to emphasize musicality over technicality, and we learn these things through examining the songs we love the most. Read More

I tailor my instruction to the students wants, needs and abilities. It's a creative environment every week and I make it fun and rewarding. We set goals for each week and I review what they want to learn on a regular basis. It has to be fun! When they are having fun they learn more, it's easier and they want to continue. Read More

My musical journey started at the age of 8. I took classical piano lessons for about 5 to 6 years and during that time, I learned about the fundamentals and building blocks of music theory as well as how to read, sight-read, and transpose music. My love for music though began when I picked up the guitar at age 13. I had always naturally gravitated towards the guitar because of its portability (compared to the piano) as well as the full sound it was able to yield despite being a smaller instrument coupled with the fact that there are some many interesting styles and ways to play it. My teaching experience extends back to just after High School graduation and my first year of university. Most of my students were younger than 16 years old. As I moved to other cities I have maintained a small following of loyal students. I have taught in Pittsburgh, PA, Indianapolis, IN, Chicago, IL, and various locations Southern California. No matter what location I have based my instructional business from, my core style of teaching has not changed: you can learn and have fun at the same time! Read More
