This occurred rather organically by having conversations with people in which they expressed interest in either learning a new instrument, or expanding on their preexisting skills. Though I do have a formal music education, I did start off self-taught, learning songs from my favorite bands and artists. While learning this they will learn to read the notation, the notes they are playing and the scale it is in. This process will continue on into chords and chord shapes from songs they enjoy!
