I pride myself in making my students succeed, I’ve had students start taking lessons with me starting in the lowest orchestra and after some months they are in the top orchestra and in a couple of occasions they were also first chair. I began teaching in 2009, with private students. The following year, I began working with non-profit organization, for two years, that brought music to at-risk and underprivileged children. After working with them, I began working with the Baton Rouge Arts Council, bringing music and music appreciation to elementary school class rooms for children and schools that did not have a music teacher, on staff. For bass guitar I use the Mel Bay Bass Guitar Method which takes a student from creating rocking bass lines to building kicking bass licks from chord changes.Double Bass students will have classical training, techniques to build a solid, warm tone, use of the bow, and orchestral repertoire, including solo pieces. I'm a cellist, composer, and a passionate teacher of many instruments. I've worked with students as young as 2 and as old as 90. My students have gotten in to region, all-state, college music programs, prestigious summer festivals, and placed in national competitions. I've taught children with autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. I started playing violin at the age of 4, and started teaching at 17. In 2003, I started playing viola, and in 2005, I started learning cello. In 2010, I graduated from Stetson University with a Bachelor of Music degree with electives in Psychology.
