I am a passionate instructor who enjoys working with students of all ages. I started performing, professionally, at a very young age, during my 6 years at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. From there, I attended the Louisiana State University, as a cello performance major and performed with the school symphony, as well as the Alexandria Symphony, the Lake Charles Symphony and local venues. I went on to get my Master's degree at Georgia State University and then returned to Louisiana State University for my final degree in Cello Performance. Read More

I began teaching music in high school when I worked as an teacher's assistant during group piano classes. I started teaching private cello and piano lessons shortly thereafter and continued to do so through college. After graduation, teaching music truly became my passion. One of the many advantages to private instruction, and what makes me so passionate about it, is that each student can move at their own speed. Private lessons should be tailored to the individual, so that the student can form a solid foundation. I believe in teaching students with encouragement and positivity, so that playing an instrument can be an enjoyable challenge, rather than a wretched slog. It is important to me that my students know I believe in them, and that our goals are agreed upon as a group. Read More

I will always set goals that I know are within reach for my students. I want to create an environment that will help them develop a passion for music in a way in which they are comfortable, not frustrated. In my mind I am always going to put the person first that I am teaching by trying to find out what inspires them. I will then assess and change my style accordingly. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More
Instruments: Guitar Cello Bass Guitar Double Bass
I started my teaching carreer in 1994, teaching doublebass and bass guitar. Two years later I began offering guitar lessons. In 1998 I offered cello lessons. My passion for teaching has grown over the years, and brought me great pleasure helping beginner students gain skills, confidence, and a sense of pride and accomplishment in learning to successfully play a musical instrument. I been able to teac advanced bass students techniques that increased their playing skills and understanding of their instrument and music in general. My greatest pleasure was helping a young, nervous, shy, and self conscious young boy, and over time, with his efforts and my guidance, was able to apply and get accepted into music college. Read More
Instruments: Cello
I am funatic, a fun teacher who is fanatic about there instrument. The cello is the middle child between the bass and the violin and a lot like the middle child stereotypes I also think the cello doesn't get enough respect. The winning formula for me is respect for your teachers and respect for the instrument once I had that practice didn't feel like practice it felt like progress and I did all the way until I reached my goal of playing Carnegie Hall.
