They offer a lot of practical information, as well as beginning music theory for all string students. For my beginning violin and viola students, I only work with them through Essential Elements book 3. At that time, I would refer them to a teacher who's primary instrument is violin. I pride myself in making my students succeed, I’ve had students start taking lessons with me starting in the lowest orchestra and after some months they are in the top orchestra and in a couple of occasions they were also first chair. I started teaching private cello and piano lessons shortly thereafter and continued to do so through college. After graduation, teaching music truly became my passion. If you don't know how to read music we can focus part of the lesson on music theory and the rest on learning from recordings and playing by ear.
