For the past 20 years, I've studied and performed with keyboards, guitars and woodwind instruments while exploring a very wide variety of music ranging from classical and rock to jazz and avant-garde. A short time later, after being hired as an accompanist at a local string studio, I was hired as a string teacher within the studio, where I taught for several years. I have been teaching for about 5 years, but have had incredible teaching oppurtunities in this small window of time. I often helped my college professor with her highschool students, andI had the oppurtunity to teach for a semester as an Adjunct at Central College in Pella, IA. After only a month of studying with me, my highschool student there advanced four chairs in the Iowa Allstates, and I see it as one of my greatest accomplishments as a teacher. Read More
