My teaching method incorporates elements of the Russian school of cello playing (what I myself grew up learning) in addition to elements of Suzuki style aural training and Alexander Technique total body awareness. Often teachers just focus on the physical mechanics of cello playing and wait to teach aural skills or music theory until the student enters a collegiate music program. Haeyoon is currently a part of the prestigious studio of Aldo Parisot at the Yale School of Music as she pursues her Artist Diploma. She is an avid chamber musician at Yale and in her community as an active member of several chamber groups. Her Yale piano trio has been selected to perform at the prestigious Vista Chamber Concert, after having been selected from several nominated groups throughout Yale. Recently they have also won the Chamber Music Competition held across all intrumentations and performed the Piano Trio in C Major by Johannes Brahms at the Winners Concert in May 2012. Read More

My motto is my students create their own lesson. I formulate lesson plans off of the styles of music you are most interested in. If my student has a more "just for fun" attitude, the lesson will inevitably be a more light hearted feel.
