As students advance, I assign scales and Hanon finger exercises to strengthen finger strength and skill. The old adage that says, "practice makes perfect", is not always right. If the student is practice wrong, they will perform it wrong. Before moving on to more scales and next pieces in the selected order at the beginning of class.
