I have taught clarinet lessons for ten years, and I have ample experience with teaching adult, beginning, intermediate, advanced, and college-level students. In addition, I have taught clarinet lessons and a methods course to music major and non-music major students at Eastman School of Music, and I taught private lessons in the Austin Independent School District. These were wonderful opportunities to teach peers and those who have been in the music education field much longer than the four of us. Although teaching large groups is exciting, nothing beats one-on-one lessons with a student.
