In 2001, I joined the ranks at Berklee College of Music in Boston and studied polyrhythms, classical composition, musicology, jazz theory, among many other topics. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with an Etude and music theory based curriculum. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance.
