I use patience, clear communication, and having fun to get knowledge across to my students! To me music is about connection and expression, and my goal is to get my students to feel that! I also understand that learning new things can make you vulnerable and frustrated so I try to be more relatable as opposed to an authority figure with my students. After that I would start with hand technique, which is 3 basic stroke patter, and how to apply them to every part of Drum set. My teaching experience dates back to when I was in high school, as I began teaching private lessons 5 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio. Like people have fitness plans to achieve their goals, I like to create a learning plan with the student. This ensures that the students know the direction they are going in and can make the most of every lesson. In my teaching I make sure that my students never feel overwhelmed or confused by the material.  I give them reasonable assignments based on their skill level and make sure to give them reasons for everything they are doing.  I always try to help my students achieve little accomplishments in every lesson.
