I've been teaching guitar for the past four years and drums for 10. My favorite thing about teaching is when a student gets to a playing level they didn't think possible. Seeing the transformation is the most rewarding part of the job for me, because I know first hand how good it feels to improve and progress. My methods vary depending on the level of the student. I heavily emphasize fundamentals with beginning students, and I try and make them understand the importance of the essectial rudiments and hand coordination before moving on to the drum set. With intermediate and advanced students I emphasize drum set, while still practicing the fundamentals. I hope to teach more advanced students to learn the confidence and skill to play with a band and learn how to approach songs from a musical, rather than simply technical, point of view. Read More

Technology is very important in my lessons: the studio is equiped with speakers so the student can play along to their favorite music. There is a also a printer so worksheets can be instantly made.
