I think my folks realized I was serious, so they bought a little Woolworth's "kiddie" kit and set up drum lessons when I was about 7 and learned to read and write jazz and rock music with my instructor until I was 16. I have been playing drums for thirty years, and teaching drums to all ages of students for about twenty. I started playing drum set at the age of five, took regular private lessons from many teachers, took every music class available at school, and made District Honor Band seven years. I marched on my high school's snare line for four years and was Drum Captain for two. I marched snare drum for Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps in 2000, as well as for The University of Georgia's Redcoat Marching Band. Read More

I am a passionate musician, educator, conductor, and composer, and I have been happily obsessed with music since I began piano lessons at age 10. I joined the school band program in 6th grade, and since then, I have learned how to play and teach many different instruments.
