With over 30 years of experience touring and performing, I enjoy sharing concepts and methods of study that have helped me throughout my career. I graduated in 1993 from Kean University with a Bachelor of Management Science degree and a minor in music. Performing around the world with a variety of artists has given me the opportunity to perform at the JVC Jazz Festival, New Orleans Jazz Festival and the North Sea Jazz Festival to name a few. I began teaching private lessons while I was in graduate school, starting in 2016. I have taught at the Peabody Conservatory Prep Division, Yale College lessons program, Music in the Schools Initiative, privately contracted lessons, Notre Dame High School in West Haven, CT, and finally and currently, I teach full time as Associate Chair of Music and Assistant Professor at the University of Bridgeport since 2022. For students I will show other people around their age playing the drums and after that I will show them the fundamentals of making a beat and staying on beat. Once students have the fundamentals together then we would play songs that they like and find interesting in and we would play those songs by ear. No matter what level they are in.
