For beginning students I run through a personalized lesson plan that caters to the students learning abilities and their pace of learning. I strongly believe in the use of a metronome and the versatility of percussion rudiments so I usually have most beginning students start there. As they progress through their concept of time and technique has improved I will then suggest to parents (if the student is interested) that their child moves on to the drum set where I bring them through the Time Functioning book by Gary Chaffee. I've always been a passionate and curious musician, ever since I picked up a flute in fourth grade. I have been dedicated to both flute and percussion ever since then, and continue to learn and play at Sarah Lawrence College. I am currently focusing on playing in pit bands for musicals, as they are my favorite performance setting. I have competed multiple times in the NYSSMA solo music festival, and have been part of an award winning concert band at the Lake Compounce Trills and Thrills Music Festival. Read More

I help my younger students prepare for middle school and high school level orchestra, and my older students for college music auditions and solo pieces.
