I am a very passionate drummer and have been playing guitar ever since 2005. I'm fluent in many different styles including punk/pop punk, hard rock, alternative rock, jazz, funk, trap, bubblegum pop, hyperpop, classic rock, and grunge. I have played in various bands over the years and have played some pretty large venues such as The Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 20 years ago, and have been consistently teaching high school band and percussion for the last 15 years. My favorite piano method book for children is the Bastien Piano Basics Series. Alternately, I sometimes use the Faber & Faber Piano Adventures. For very young children (3-6) "My First Piano Adventure," a Faber publication, is my book of choice. For adults, I usually use Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course, though sometimes I skip method books and play pieces picked by the student.
