My teaching style is based on few important axioms such as getting a proper technique and posture, expanding musical awareness and creativity, and having an open mind to different music and cultures. From that, I love to set goals with the student and work towards it. I will usually bring some work each lesson, and always leave space for something that the student wants to explore. I really want the student to be engaged and to be inspired. Read More

I am a piano instructor who is always passionate and excited about teaching the art of playing the piano. Since 2007 till now, I always love to monitor the little weekly progress of my students turn into a huge development in their musicianship. I grew up playing Bach, Beethoven, and a variety of classical composer. In my teens I started learning all the pop songs, and playing with a variety of cover bands, and church choirs in Egypt. Drums have always been the biggest passion in my life. This incredible instrument holdsendless musical and rhythmic possibilities which have always fascinated me.In 2011, I graduated with honors from the New Engalnd Conservatory with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance. I've had the honor of playing at some of New York's most well known venues as well as international festivals such as the Red Sea Jazz Festival in Eilat. Read More

I draw attention to the importance of listening and help the student identify what to listen for. There is nothing more frustrating than practicing a particular fill 1000 times, only to later realize you've been practicing it incorrectly. This is very common among drummers young and old, but is easily dealt with by simply cultivating a sense of listening and apt imitation. However, I do not endorse perfectionism as a means of effective learning either, and I also will remind the student of the fact that sometimes when you're jamming, even if what what you're playing is not perfect, it's "good enough for rock and roll." This is part of the attitude of rock and roll that I feel is conducive to better, faster learning: a willingness to make mistakes, acknowledge them, learn from them, and move on. Read More

Most important to my teaching is that each student to listens to a lot of music, and learns to play the music that they love as soon as possible. I work with a variety of method books/videos depending on skill level and stylistic interest, and teach time-tested regimens for building raw ability on the instrument. I also have many exercises of my own invention that are fun to listen to and play, while still remaining challenging and building facility. Read More

I've been playing drums since I received a snare drum one Christmas as a child. Slowly but surely I started to teach myself how to play by listening and watching. As a teenager I began formal lessons and followed that up with a stint at Berklee College of Music in Boston in the performance program. After spending two years at Berklee I needed to get out in the real world and do some playing. Read More
