I began teaching music when I was 18, I began teaching private drums and piano lessons in my home studio, I've been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 7 years. Upon graduation, I got my first music teacher position at Rishon Lezion conservatory, I taught private saxophone, flute, drums, and piano lessons as well as group music theory lessons and directed students ensembles. When it comes to entry level learning, I believe that music is a language, and as such it is very important to develop the ear (call and response, ear Training methods), along with the theory (Technique) in the most organic and natural way. I was born in Israel, spending my teens in Brazil, and my 20’s in Paris France, where I studies with Kenny Clark among others. In 1996 I moved to the US where I received an artist Visa, and later a green card and citizenship. I haven been living in NJ for the past decade, and I draw my musical inspiration from the corners of the world. Throughout the years I worked extensively with Brazilian and African bands, studied Carnatic drumming, and played with many Jazz groups around Europe and the US. Read More

I feel that organization is key to success in lessons, and I keep clear records of all lessons and exercises that each of my students have worked on with me. However I do like to keep things low key and fun! Music, and drums in particular, take a lot of focus and repetition to improve, and I always stress the importance of practicing at home outside of the lessons. Because I teach such a wide variety of musical styles, my teaching style varies greatly from student to student. On Drums, I'm capable of teaching students up to extremely advanced professional level students, so I most often custom design my lesson plans based on the student's needs. While Cory was in high school, he was selected to become a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and the Gibson Baldwin Grammy Jazz Ensemble where he performed with the High School Grammy Jazz Choir. Gaining exposure to various music programs around the country lead to Cory receiving a scholarship from Blue Note recording artist Jason Moran to attend college and he was selected as a 2006-08 Brubeck Institute Fellow at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.
