I am an experienced professional musician who performs and records regularly on multiple instruments and in many styles of music. I've composed soundtracks for national television shows and advertisements, and I am very passionate about teaching and sharing my love of music and the learning process. As students progress, they can move on to drumset studies.  I can focus on whichever style of music interests the student, or  I can present various styles (Rock, Latin, Funk, Jazz, etc.)  All of the ideas learned in the previous lessons will be applied to the drumset.  Areas covered will include: -Beats (Rock, Swing, Bossa Nova, Samba, 12/8, etc.) -Fills -Soloing -Reading Charts -Time/ Feel -Dynamics I am very patient and flexible.  If there is anything that the student specifically wants to learn or doesn’t want to learn, I’m all ears!  I’m here to teach them whatever they are interested in as well as to introduce them to something they may not have experienced before. I like to start off teaching how to read very simple snare drum and drum set music. Basic snare drum rudiments like Flams and Paradiddles and basic rock beat drum patterns are a fun and engaging way to start learning. I use books as well as transcribe music myself to provide my students with a visual representation. This allows for a more clear communication once the drumming concepts become more challenging and complex. Read More

For me, music has always been a means of expression, a way to express my love, passion, and commitment to life and this world.
