I have been playing the drums since age 10. Starting out playing rock and roll but quickly started playing Jazz, Latin, Samba, and Show Tunes. After graduating high school, I went to attend Montclair State University's Jazz program. Everyone who picks up an instrument is not going to tour the world as a musician. While this is true, every student can play and be proud. It is my job to help students progress and reach that level. I like to keep lessons light in attitude, but still put responsibility on my students. Work outside of lessons is a must for progress, even if only ten minutes is all that is possible. One of my goals is to show students how to reflect on whatever work they are doing and tell for themselves whether it is good work or not. I began my relationship with much when I starting playing drums at age 7. I played in percussion in school bands for a few years then I found the drum set. I found discipline and independence through the drum set, and soon started learning guitar and piano. I attended Berklee College of Music for Contemporary Writing & Production, with a focus in Drumset performance. While at Berklee, I played drumset/percussion in musical theater productions for other Boston colleges (Boston Conservatory, Emerson) and played with local bands in the Boston area. Read More

Through my career, I won the 1st place of the National Festival in Italy, I received the 1st place of the Local Band Competition in my hometown, and I was one of the top 10 finalists of the National Drum Competition, again in Italy. I believe in teaching discipline, responsibility and dedication through the art of music! I use the NYS Common Core in Music to teach. My students are more likely to excel in all of their studies, have enhanced critical thinking skills and will have a higher level of focus discipline than students not studying music the arts.
