I started playing flute when I was 7 years old and I've dedicate my life to music since then. I graduated from the Hight Conservatory of Music in Oviedo (Spain) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Flute Performance, and from the International University of La Rioja (Spain) with a Master's Degree in Education. I've been working as a music teacher for the last 10 years, teaching flute, music theory and orchestra, to students all ages, at the same time that I've continued performing with different orchestras and bands, as the main flutist or soloist. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE My teaching experience started in 2007 with teaching young kids from our youth meeting in church. Now I am teaching in my home studio in Belleville, NJ since 2016. With more than 10 years experience, I love working with new students of all ages. I use a curriculum developed by Mrs, Irina Gorin which specialize in kids from 4-6 years. It is extremely important to make sure each student has an very strong foundation and is comfortable with the basics of flute playing. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing my students progress and develop their inner musician! Therefore, it's important that each student regular communicates with me their goals in music. I encourage students to set realistic practice goals after at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. After Berklee I taught full time for one year at a local music store. While attending MSM I taught group classes in New York City middle schools on Clarinet and Flute.
