As an experienced music educator, musician, and a mother, I have found that it is so important to have music in people's life starting from young age. I have earned a BA in music, a MA in piano performance, and a MS in music education. Read More

It's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. Sometime I would bring my soprano or tenor saxophone with me and create music with a student by trying to show him how music works. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! It 's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. As previously mentioned, each lesson is based on the students needs. Praise and honesty are always incorporated into each lesson. Read More

My teaching style is enthusiastic. I always show my students support, even if they are feeling discouraged. Whether it is playing a chromatic scale, learning vibrato, or a tricky run in a piece, I acknowledge and celebrate for them. Read More

My teaching process looks like a mountain stream. We start at the top of the mountain, and the goal is to get to the bottom. As I teach using my tried and true techniques, we make our way down, but when I notice that my student needs extra help, or should be pushed more, we detour into another stream until we can return to our main path. Sometimes, we diverge immediately and continue down different paths until we make it to the bottom anyway! Read More
