After graduating at the music department, the Dean of Music recommended me for the music tutoring position at Valencia College and I taught under that position for one full school year. There are a couple of good method books, but introducing appropriate solo repertoire as early as possible creates a sense of self accomplishment, and so I normally follow my teaching instincts to know exactly the best time to bring this into the picture.
